The Blanket That Hugged Back

Told in English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Spanish, French, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese.

There was a blanket. A soft, soft blanket.

It was warm like sunshine. It was soft like a cloud.

At night, the blanket went all the way up to your chin. Like this. All the way up.

And the blanket said, very quietly: I've got you.

When your toes were cold, the blanket wrapped around them. Wiggle your toes. Can you feel them getting warm?

And the blanket said: I've got you.

When the wind went whoooosh outside the window, the blanket held you a little bit tighter.

And the blanket said: I've got you.

When your eyes got heavy, and the room got quiet, and everything went slow and soft...

The blanket said: I've got you. All night long. I've got you.

So close your eyes now, little one.

You are warm. You are safe. You are loved.

Goodnight.
