Count the Ducklings

Mother Duck had some ducklings. Let's count them together!

One. Two. Three. Four. Five.

Five little ducklings! Can you say five?

One day, Mother Duck said: Quack! Time to swim!

And all five ducklings went into the pond. Splash, splash, splash, splash, splash!

Let's count them swimming. One, two, three, four, five. All five!

Then one duckling saw a butterfly and went off to look at it.

Now how many are in the pond? Let's count. One, two, three, four. Four ducklings!

Then one duckling found a nice green weed to nibble.

Now how many? One, two, three. Three ducklings!

Then one duckling got sleepy and sat on a rock.

Now? One, two. Two ducklings!

Then one duckling went to say hello to a frog.

Now? Just one. One little duckling.

Oh dear! Mother Duck looked around. Where is everybody?

So she called out: QUACK QUACK!

And back they all came! Splash, splash, splash, splash!

Let's count them one more time, to be sure everyone's home.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five!

All five ducklings, safe with their mother. Well counted, little one!
