Red, Yellow, Blue Balloons

At the fair there was a man with balloons. So many balloons!

Look — a RED balloon. Red like a strawberry. Red like a fire engine. Can you find something red near you?

And here's a YELLOW balloon. Yellow like a banana. Yellow like the SUN up in the sky. Can you find something yellow?

And a BLUE balloon! Blue like the sea. Blue like a raindrop. Can you find something blue?

And a GREEN balloon. Green like the grass. Green like a leaf.

And an ORANGE balloon. Orange like... an orange!

Then the wind came. Whooosh!

And all the balloons floated up, up, up into the sky.

Up went the red one. Up went the yellow one. Up went the blue, and the green, and the orange one too.

They floated higher and higher, all together.

And from far away, do you know what they looked like?

All those colours, up in the sky, in a big curved line...

They looked just like a rainbow!

Red. Orange. Yellow. Green. Blue.
