The Three Little Pigs
Told in English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Spanish, French, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese.
Come close, sweetheart, and let me tell you a story about three little pigs who each learned something important about hard work. Once upon a time, three little pig siblings left home to build houses of their very own. The first little pig, in a great hurry to finish quickly and go play, built his house out of straw. The second pig, just a little more careful, built his from sticks. But the third pig — the wisest of them all — worked hard for many, many days, laying one brick after another, until his house was strong and wonderfully sturdy.
Soon, a hungry wolf came prowling through the woods, looking for his dinner. He found the straw house first, and with one enormous breath — huff, and puff! — he blew it clean down. The frightened little pig ran to his brother's stick house, but the wolf blew that one down too! Both pigs ran as fast as their little legs could carry them to their wisest brother's brick house.
The wolf huffed, and puffed, and huffed again with all his might — but do you know what happened, my dear? The sturdy brick walls simply would not budge, not even a little bit! Furious, the wolf tried sneaking down the chimney instead — only to land with a tremendous splash, right in a big pot of boiling water the clever pigs had waiting just for him! Off he ran, yelping, never to bother them again. And from that day on, the three little pigs lived safely together, having learned that patience and hard work really do build the strongest, safest homes.
